This six-week group project challenged us to design and build a mechanical squash ball launcher within a £30 budget. My primary role was the design, which utilises leaf springs, rotating arms, TheraBands, and a trebuchet-style throwing arm. Through countless hours of prototyping, testing and iteration we achieved 72 meters, earning us the title of best in the year.
